Lazy Days of Summer!

We have been enjoying the lazy days of summer lately... the girls have been bouncing around visiting with Ebby & Big Poppy, Honey & Pop and Grumpa & Lib! Squeezing in lots of grandparent time. We have been staying cool at the pool, getting energy out at the park and just loving spending time together.

The girls had their first trip to Krispy Kreme today to enjoy some delicious doughnuts for breakfast. It was a hit... and a sugar rush!

The girls have turned into little book worms.  Or as they say it "buh".  They are getting ready for pre-school (starting in a few weeks) by practicing their colors & shapes! They can say the colors now but haven't mastered which is which quite yet. But they LOVE to read and be read to.  Honey refinished a table I had growing up which as turned into one of their favorite spots to sit and read "buhs".  

We are looking forward to a short trip to Atlanta to see good friends this weekend.  Thanks in advance to the babysitting crew - Ebby and Russ on the first leg, Honey and Pop on the second. We will miss the girls, but are excited about a date night back in our old stomping ground.

Practice Brother!

The girls seem to be getting used to the idea of having a new baby around. We stopped by yesterday to visit sweet baby Graham and the girls were all about him & all his baby gear. The whole way home Tyler & Harper kept saying "Babee". We think they are going to make great Big Sisters!

You read that right... Tyler & Harper are going to be Big Sisters! A little brother or little sister is due to arrive in January. We are all VERY excited!

Lazy 5

We all went to Lazy 5 Ranch so Harper & Tyler could see all of the animals up close that they have been learning about in books. We took a wagon ride through the zoo so they could reach out their arms to pet the animals and feed them. We were not sure how this was going to go, but the girls ended up LOVING it & did not want the tour to end. All of the animals were very friendly and came right up to eat. We will be making the trip back again soon!

Fourth Fun

For the 4th of July we hit the lake for some fun in the water, fireworks, delicious food & Honey's birthday! The girls were rarely out of the water enjoying splashing and cooling off in the lake. What a fun 4th!
