15 Months Old

Tyler & Harper are 15 Months Old Today!

New at 15 Months...

Repeating words. They have become little talkers trying to copy what Mommy & Daddy say. Newest favorites: Thank you (kank u), Cold, Cracker, Doll, Cookie (Cook Cook), This (dis), That (dat), Shoes & All Done. Harper is definitely more vocal but Tyler is finally starting to say words & always gets a big smile on her face when it comes out sounding right.

Walking! We have 2 walkers on our hands. This means Mom only has to take one trip out to the car to load them in... they just hold hands and walk themselves to the car. Its great!

Waving Bye-Bye & blowing a kiss

Trying to get dressed by themselves... the girls love picking up shirts & trying to put them on. After baths at night they put on their pink tutus & pink sequin headbands and run around like Fancy Nancy. Its too cute!

Both girls are 28.5" tall (10th percentile) and Harper weighs 18lbs 12oz (4th percentile) Tyler weighs 19lbs 5 oz (6th percentile). We have some itty-bitties on our hands. All of their pants have to be altered around the waist so they don't fall down!

Understanding basic things like "Give Sissy her doll", "Sit Down" & "Give Mom/Dad a kiss"

Becoming interested in all things GIRL! Putting on necklaces, pushing their dolls in their strollers, walking with a purse on their arm. Everything except wearing bows (hopefully soon enough they will start to wear them again- Mom is so ready to bring out the bows again!)

Snow Day, Take 2

There is snow outside! 

Tyler & Harper played in the snow this morning.

It was a fun winter wonderland for them to wake up to.

I think they have finally learned the meaning.

 so Crocs with 3 pairs of thick socks seemed to do the trick.

Now we are ready for warm weather & Spring!

The "Frankie"

Harper has gone from taking a few steps across the room to full on walking this week. She has added her own flair to the walk that has earned her the nickname of Frankenstein or Frankie.

Pre-School Bound

We heard this morning that Tyler & Harper were 

ACCEPTED to pre-school!

Mom was jumping for joy... 

below is the girls reaction to the news...

Tyler: "I'm not so sure about this pre-school thing. What in the world is mom going to do without us for 3 hours twice a week?"

Harper: "I feel so sorry for her. She must be sad."

The girls start school after the summer is over and we are ALL looking forward to this new adventure. 

The Tale of Doggie

Tyler has a doggie that has been a constant companion since about 7 months old. Doggie has been a great friend to Miss Tyler & she has loved him to pieces (literally!) Tyler sleeps with doggie's arm in her mouth and when she is not asleep with him she cries out "Dog, Dog" at the bottom of the stairs until she gets up to the nursery to get precious doggie out of the crib. Seeing how important doggie is to her, we decided to order a few backups in case doggie completely falls apart in the wash. Today was the day the extra doggies arrived and it was better than Christmas for sweet Miss Tyler!

Our new afternoon activity... walking our dog around outside. The girls love it, Pearce not so much! Tyler normally holds the leash and Harper giggles about how funny Sissy is. And Pearce, well he just grins & bears it.

Good thing Pearce only weighs 7 pounds...

 so there is no chance of him pulling her over!

For Valentines Tyler & Harper each got a puppy.... Just KIDDING! I think we have our hands full with two toddlers & a chihuahua. But the girls did get to spend the afternoon playing with Uncle Buck's brothers' new adorable 6 week old puppies. The girls were in love at first sight.

This morning we went to play at Imaginon & I watched as their imaginations went wild. They explored every inch of this place and loved trying to figure out how things work.
