Early Christmas

This past weekend we traveled around and squeezed in 3 family Christmases in one day... Court was a trooper and skipped his naps all together but managed to fit in a quick snooze on Dad's lap. The girls were a million miles an hour constantly being bribed for good behavior with sugary sweets. It was so nice to see everyone and have a little mini Christmas before the big day.

Christmas Miracle!

We have been through A LOT these past few days. An emotional roller coaster but we are now going in the direction of a Christmas Miracle. Roughly 36 hours ago Jacquelyn contracted bacterial meningitis for the 2nd time in 10 years. A rare instance in itself but even more rare to get it twice and also while pregnant. It was caught quickly and the 7 month old baby in her tummy seems to be doing just fine. A very scary time that has luckily turned into an early Christmas miracle. So while Aunt Jacquelyn is stuck in the hospital for a while, back to blogging to give her something to read...

Ok, catch up time now... Last week we had one of Court's buddy's Ben's 1st birthday party. A perfect Christmas party complete with Santa and cupcakes.

All the mommas & all the babies with Old St. Nick!

Best buds: Leighton, Lawton & Court

Santa & Court. Not so scary anymore.

Happy 1st Ben!!!

In other news, we finished up our Holiday Music Together class. Lots of fun.

Cookies & Milk Party

The girls (and now Court this year) hosted their 3rd Annual Cookies & Milk party with Santa. They have an inside connection to the North Pole so Santa was easily secured and they had no idea it was actually Poppy's lap they were sitting on. A guest list of 100 with half of the guests being under 3 feet tall made for a pretty packed house, but we would not have it any other way. The girls were a huge help this year helping to make cookies (12 dozen we made together!) and Court was an angel just watching so Mommy actually had time to pull this together. It was a blast & we can't wait to continue this tradition through the years.

The cookie spread!

Pre-Party cuddles with Santa.
Girls were in heaven with Santa in their house, Court was still not amused.

Deck the Halls!

We have been getting in the Christmas spirit over here! Decking the halls, baking and learning new Christmas carols. Girls are all about "cwissmiss time" this year.

Harper & Tyler making Reindeer Food for all of their friends.
They learned the top secret recipe: oats, bird seed & magic sparkles.

And, bliss.... their first nap in over 6 months...

Tyler, yep doggie is still in her mouth.

Court, all smiles these days.

3 Year Stats!

Harper (L) & Tyler (R)
We had the girls 3 Year Check up today.
Two very healthy & happy big girls!
We had a bit of a growth spurt, still tiny but growing.
And for the first time they were EXACTLY
the same height and weight.
26 pounds & 36 inches tall (4 inches up from last year!)
10th percentile for weight and 25th for height
A BIG jump from the zero percentile they were in for both last year.

They were pretty cute in the check up. When they had their eyes checked the nurse held up pictures to see what they could see. For the Barn picture they both called it "Farmer & the Dell" and then for the cake picture they both said "Happy Birthday to me"

We can't wait to see what this years holds for these two sweet little girls! Check out how much they have grown from last year.

Ho Ho Ho!

Tis' the Season for Santa... he is everywhere these days. Girls are loving Santa these days (shocking since this was their reaction last year and this the year before.) But Court, not so much. He smiles for a minute when he first sits down then he turns into a hysterically crying terrified little boy. Its pretty sad but also a little funny.

Santa with Tyler, Court & Harper
Court did not know what was going on until 1 second after this photo was taken then the tears came. Glad the photographer was quick!

Santa= Candy Canes. Score!

Court's first Candy Cane.
Yep, he loved it.

Santa, take 2.
Court knew what was going on right away here.
Excuse the drool on this picture of our picture. Court got hungry.

Can't wait to see how the kiddos react to Santa coming to their house on Sunday for their annual Cookies & Milk party.

Chugg-Chugga, Choo-Choo!

All Aboard!
We had the girls 3rd birthday party this weekend. It was outside & freezing (flurries before the party started & a hail storm an hour after it was over... we got pretty lucky!) but the kids did not seem to mind. Train rides were a hit and the girls loved having all of their friends come celebrate with them. Its pretty great to be 3!

The little blue choo.

First train ride of the day.

Bundled up with Mommy.
The girls were in charge of telling the train man where to go.

Its cake time.

Happy Birthday to you!

Yes, please!
Court skipped his nap for the big throwdown in the front yard.
This kid is pretty great.

Crazy train man.
Harper kept saying he was silly.

Happy Birthday girls!

Warming up inside before present time.

6 weeks until the little one turns ONE!

More pictures from the party here... enjoy!
