Reality.

Reality has finally set in... 3 kids under 3 is pretty insane most days! I am not sure why it took us 8 months to figure out that 3 under 3 is a wild ride, but needless to say its has been chaos around here lately. The girls have given up their nap so Mommy's quiet time is now filled with Yo Gabba Gabba and cleaning up toys that appear faster than I can move. That probably explains why it has been 10 days since we have taken pictures of the cuties... Finally remembered to bring the camera this morning to our Pre-School's Pancake Breakfast. Girls loved seeing their friends and Court loved eating a whole bowl of grits.

We have lots of fun Fall activities planned, so be on the lookout for pictures of our 3 under 3!

Chicago Marathon

We just got back from Chicago where Dad ran the Bank of America marathon. A great long weekend away where the kids cheered on Daddy from home! Record breaking temps proved to make the race a little harder than anticipated but Dad finished his 3rd marathon.

Nite-Nite!

We have been blessed with great sleepers, it took them all a few months to get the hang of sleeping, but once they caught on we have rarely had a night of interrupted sleep. These days getting 3 little ones to bed seems like the busiest part of the day. Luckily Daddy is home 90% of the time to help with the bed time routine. We are like robots, one takes Court and the other takes the girls and we just get it done.... dinner, baths, pj's, books, songs and snuggles. It takes two parents since they are on different schedules, but we have it down!

Court, a bath in the sink!
This was a night when he was so messy from dinner so he went straight to the kitchen sink instead of the bath tub.

Our little duck.

Book time with Daddy.
Court could have books read to him for hours!

A quick bite on the book, then off to bed!
He dropped his night time bottle so he is for sure the easiest to get down!

Then big news happened around here yesterday...
Big Girl Beds ~ Take 2!

Big Girls in their beds!
Luckily Round 2 went off without a hitch.
We had to use drastic measures... "Girls, if you get out of your beds we will call the police!" Worked like a charm!!!!

Double TROUBLE!!!

Having twins has its benefits a lot of the time, but not all of the time! The girls are at an age where they want to play together and Mommy & Daddy are not allowed. Normally this is great, we get some down time and play with Baby Court, they are happy and we check in on them every few minutes to make sure everything is ok. This weekend the girls were doing their favorite activity, dress up! They don't like costumes, they just like to dress up in silly outfits that they pick out themselves. It all started out in good fun... and ended, well, see for yourself!

Look Mommy & Daddy, take my picture..
I be cute!

Then enough time had passed and they would run down and say no mommy & daddy upstairs... this is never a good sign.

After tearing every item out of their closet they could reach they were satisfied, Mommy & Daddy not so much...

Weekend Fun

Team Neil raced again in the Komen Breast Cancer walk this past weekend and all 3 kids joined us for the walk on the first official cold day of Fall. A wonderful way to remember such a dear friend. Team Neil rocked it raising almost $50k for Komen. The kiddos did not even mind the 6am wake up call, they were just excited to go to the race.

Court & girlfriend Leighton

Court ready to start the walk.

Afterwards Court & buddy Lawton shared some nilla wafers.

Tyler did some flirting with a younger man.

Then it was off to celebrate Mary Brooks turning 3!

Dance Party

If these photos could speak, they would be very LOUD! Dance Parties are a nightly thing around here... a burst of energy, 2 wild girls, one stunned brother, a barking chihuahua and 2 shocked parents wondering if they will ever go to bed, make for a loud house.

Dance Party!

Meanwhile Court takes it all in...
Mommy trying to bribe Court to crawl, or at least move a little.
Nope, he just smiles.
This sparkly gem got Tyler and Harper both on the move.

Court decided a Nilla wafer was more fun than crawling.

Can't blame him!

Bike. Swim Run.

Another weekend, another race! That seems to be the norm these days with super-sporty-dad. We went back down to the beach for our last trip of the summer for Daddy & Uncle Brandon to race in the annual triathlon that they have done for the past 3 out of 4 years.

Dad finishing up the run.
We missed the swim & bike part and barely made it to see Daddy cross the finish line even with waking up the girls early to get there...
Way to Go, 1:19 Finish!

8 Months Old

Baby Court, you are 8 Months Old!
(well, close enough)
What are you doing these days?

You are still the happiest baby in town!
All you do is smile & giggle.
It actually is hard to get a picture of you not smiling.
You are starting to make more sounds... "Da Da & Bla Bla" are your favorites.

Everything goes in your mouth, everything!!!
You have 2 teeth on the bottom & your 2 top teeth have just started coming in.
You LOVE to eat...
Favorites are goldfish, ritz crackers, any kind of fruit, peas, grilled cheese and some baby food. You prefer big boy food over the mushy baby stuff. You have tried cake & could not get enough (Mommy was nice enough to share on her birthday!)

Your sisters are still your favorite thing!
You love their video monitor and can spend a long time listening to their voices coming out of it. They are nice to you (most of the time) but you can certainly get your feelings hurt by them. If they take the toy you are playing with or if they push you over you cry the most pitiful cry because your feelings are hurt. We think you are going to be very sensitive!

You have rolls over most of your body & the cutest chubby cheeks.
Mommy loves your fat roll on your foot, its super cute!
According to our un-scientific measurement you weigh 18 pounds (which is a pound more than your sisters weighed at 1 year!)

You are not moving an inch!
Good boy, you know Mommy can't handle a crawler right now.
You prefer to watch Sesame Street with your sisters.
You don't even blink your eyes when it is on!

You are the most precious sweet baby!
You complete our family & we thank God for you every day.
