What better way to celebrate the official first day of summer than to stay up extra late and catch fireflies. It was a split second decision that as we waited and waited and waited for the fireflies to appear Mom & Dad were questioning if this was a good idea. Court was sound asleep and his big sisters anxiously waited for it to be dark enough. Just about as we were about to call it a night, the hunt was on. They lit up the backyard and two little brunettes zoomed around catching every last one. Well, at least that is what we told them to get them to bed. Happy official 1st day of summer!
The hunt is on...

I can't remember the last time I went 10 days without posting on the blog. Guess its been a busy 10 days. I managed to snap a few photos last week when we took a trip to Discovery Place on a rainy day. It was a fun morning & I had to literally drag them out after a few hours. Guess we should go there more often!

And now onto some house news... a lot of the reason why there has been little time for blog posting. Lots going on... all of the brick is up! Should be painted in the next few weeks. And we have walls, all of them. Its finally coming together.

Summer is finally here! And summer at our house means the BEACH!
We have finally hit the age where the beach is so easy.
Wake up... go to beach... eat.... go to beach... bed!
Our three are official beach bums and will have their toes firmly planted in the sand for a lot of the summer. They are content just building sand castles, splashing in the waves, hunting for seashells and relaxing on the beach. We have finally arrived at ages that make for an easy summer!!!
We spent our first trip to the beach with the Culps and had the best time...

Memorial Day... yes a little late on this one but better late than never! We had a fun Memorial Day spending the morning at the pool and the afternoon at CCC with Ebby & Poppy and a whole bunch of fun animals to pet and feed.
Our sweet one year old boy! He is the spitting image of his Daddy and holds his Mommy's heart in his little hands! His laugh is contagious & he always has a smile on his face. Our laid back 3rd child & the final piece to our crazy family.
Our firstborn (by 2 minutes!), she is our sensitive girl. She loves acting silly and inherited some of her Daddy's dance moves. She can often be found drawing or painting and has her Mommy's creative spirit. With her sweetness & lap cuddles she brings constant joy to our lives.
Our second daughter, she is our curious girl. She is always singing and putting on a performance. She is our funny girl that is always up for a good time. Her adorable spunk and free spirit bring smiles to our faces every day.
