Bathroom Fun, Part II

We caught a little footage of our mischievous girls last night and as a follow up to the bathroom pictures- here is a video. Guess toilet locks are in store for all bathrooms in our house that way Grumpa can sleep a little better!

Literally the girls were alone for 2 minutes in the guest bedroom and before we knew it they had found their way to the guest bath. They were too quiet and so we decided to take a peek and... well you'll just have to see!

Bathroom Fun!

The girls are drawn to the parents bathroom.... there is no stopping them! They crawl so fast to round the corner to get there before Mom closes the door.

Today they got there first and this was the result....

Harper stuck in the shower
She crawled in & Tyler closed the door behind her

Fun game is banging on the glass
and looking at Sissy on the other side

And the inevitable... playing in the toilet

Holiday Wrap Up!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. I think the girls were a little more aware of what was going on compared to last year! And next year we are hoping they understand Santa... what fun that will be.

Tyler & Harper made it to their first Christmas Eve Church service and lasted about 30 minutes until the squirming and squealing sent us out the door (it was dinnertime after all). We spent time with family and watched the girls tear into all of the gifts under the tree. Some highlights were the table & chairs that used to be Dad's when he was young that Honey & GG painted especially for them, a Sesame Street boom box, a talking nursery rhyme bear, Elmo movies, doll babies & lots of cute clothes! A very Merry Christmas for sure!!!

The girls had playgroup at Noah's Art this week where they had their first experience with painting & drawing! They loved the mess & finger painting was a huge hit. We might have some hidden Picassos on our hands.

Santa, Take 3

Third times a charm! Well, not really... there were no tears but no touching Santa either. We visited Dad at the trading floor yesterday and I think playing at Daddy's desk was a little more fun than seeing Santa.

Holding on tight to Mom & Dad
Still terrified of Santa

Spinning in Dad's chair is way more fun!

Visiting Dad at work.
Cookies = Happy Girls
At least Santa is good for something!

During this visit the girls would not sit still. Crawling all over the place and pulling up on computers & chairs. A little different from the last visit.

1 Year Old

Harper (L) Tyler (R)
1 Year Old
Please ignore the pumpkin muffins all over their face & shirts!

New at ONE Year:

They are Itty Bitties! Tyler is 17lbs 14 oz & Harper is 17lbs 5 oz.

Energy! They are all over the place, into everything & non stop when they are awake.

Standing. They will just stand not holding onto anything. No forward motion yet though.

They say "dada" when the phone rings!

They still take two naps a day and are still pretty good sleepers at night. A few late night wake up calls here & there for stubborn teeth that just won't seem to come in!

Undoing the whole roll of toilet paper in the bathroom when no one is looking.

Spilled Milk = fun new toy to play with!

Harper's favorite friend is her pink giraffe "Raffie" and Tyler's is her brown & white "Doggy"

Climbing into things- a box, a wagon, a low shelf. Anything that they can squeeze their little bodies into!

Sibling Rivalry! Yes, it has started.

They understand "No"- they just don't always listen.

Favorite New Foods: Scrambled eggs, Sunbutter sandwiches (thanks Lauren!), carrot juice, croissants, kiwi, blueberries, cookies (they would eat these for every meal if they could!), cheddar cheese on crackers, peach smoothies & mini cheeseburgers.

The girls heard Santa comes down the chimney....
here they are looking for him!

So, now what.... we have documented every moment of the girls' 1st year! This is definitely more detailed than their baby books. So, we are going to use Blurb & turn this into a 21st century blog book for each of them to have. And the blog will go on.... just not as frequently!

Stay tuned for what is in store for year TWO!

'Tis the Season!

We are switching gears around here... out with the pink birthday balloons & in with the green Christmas tree!

Here is a little family video made by cousin Tripp to get everyone in the Christmas spirit!!!

Tyler & Harper hard at work helping Mommy with the lights

And here is a little (blurry) sneak peek at what Santa will be like this year for the girls. Harper sat on Santa's lap for about 5 seconds today and was full of tears. We have two more chances to be on best behavior with the big guy so hopefully there will be some better photo ops coming up!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Tyler & Harper are ONE!
We cannot believe how fast time has flown and how much we love these adorable little girls of ours! To celebrate their 1st birthday we started off the day with pink cupcakes & milk. What a treat. The girls giggled the whole way through it and know today is a special day.

Harper digs right in!

Tyler thinks this is a great way to start the day!

Oh what a mess!

In the photos above you can see a little sneak preview of their birthday party theme... On Saturday we will be celebrating with our family and friends with candy, cake & a lot of fun!

I had to share this special poem that Tyler & Harper's Great Aunt Barbara sent... what a great way to celebrate T & H turning one!

One year ago on this wonderful day,
Two precious baby girls came here to stay.
Harper and Tyler became their names,
And their blog has made them famous dames!

Yes, the White twins have grown in one year's time,
And we have all watched as they've learned to climb,
Away from Pearce and into the arms,
Of aunts, uncles, and grandparents, with all their charm!

Ebby and Big Poppy, Honey and Pop,
Lib and Grumpa, they see a lot,
And when they're in the barber's chair,
They see Aunt Jacquelyn, who cuts their hair.

They're often seen crawling at the beach,
Or sitting in their high chairs smeared with peach,
Sometimes they're dressed like a banana or monkey,
And as little ballerinas, they look pretty spunky!

We've seen them bathing in the sink,
And dressed in outfits that are very pink,
We find them on dates, and even at races,
My, they end up in extraordinary places!

In pumpkin patches, in Bobo's lap,
At Figure 8 or down for a nap,
Yes, these two little angels, we have heard them talk,
And lately we've seen them begin to walk!

So Happy Birthday, you darling twins,
Tyler and Harper, with the sweetest grins,
We are so thankful and grateful too,
Cause the dear Lord above has given us YOU!

And finally.... a little video of the girls growing up right before our eyes. Happy 1st Birthday Tyler & Harper. We love you!
