Turning One!

It seems like just the other day that we were coming home from the hospital with little idea of what was ahead except for knowing our lives were about to be forever changed... we were parents.  Sometime in the last 12 months, in between the stress of an emergency room visit or the excitement of watching the girls sit or stand on their own, Tyler and Harper grew up.  I know, I know - it's all relative and there is a lot more growing up to do, but if the rest of the years fly by as quickly as the first, our girls will be all grown up before we know it.

I can't think of a better way to explain the last year than borrowing a line from John Lennon, "Life is what happens to us when we are busy making other plans".  Despite how much we try to plan our days, weeks, or months Tyler and Harper somehow find a way to shake things up.  The best part about being parents is when they shake things up, they always seem to make our lives a little better.

Happy Birthday Girls!

Love,
Dad

Stay tuned for a little video of our little girls growing up over the past year. Mom is serving pink cupcakes for breakfast so there will be lots of pictures to come!
