One minute & 30 seconds

One minute and thirty seconds.... that is how long I was outside yesterday getting the stroller out for a walk when this happened.....

Tyler is moving at warp speed now and apparently went straight for a low shelf in our kitchen, pulled a glass bowl down, broke it & tried to eat it. All in one minute & thirty seconds! So a trip to the ER, 2 hours of straight bleeding & no stitches we finally made it home.

Note: the photos above were taken after the bleeding had stopped & her lip had begun to go back together! No, her dress is not tie-dyed (that is blood!).

Tyler was a trooper and smiled straight through it all. Mom was way more upset than anyone. Harper was watching from the sidelines and this may have scared her enough to never crawl at all.

Main job this week: Babyproofing!

All Around!

The girls have been on another whirlwind trip... for almost a week the twins have been on the go. Lots of new faces, new experiences & non stop attention.

Tyler discovers a toy straight from the 80's... a koosh ball!

Harper loves feeding herself.
Eating out has become a regular thing these days!
The girls are huge fans of grilled cheeses, crackers & melon.

Tyler takes a big bite.
The waiters must dread the White twins coming to eat...
they always leave their mark wherever they go!

While the parents were away at a wedding, the girls had a great time shopping, eating out and getting lots of attention from relatives. Finally back home now- the girls are sound asleep in their own cribs probably dreaming about all of the fun they have had going all around town!

Mom turns 30...dad survives the triathlon

Mom (Princess) and the girls celebrating

While we celebrated her birthday several weeks ago, mom officially turned the big 3-0 this weekend. We were down in Wilmington with the extended family and had to have a little ice cream cake and break out the party hats. Celebration was limited on Friday night as Saturday morning was an early one. Uncle Brandy and I ran in the Wilmington YMCA triathlon on Saturday morning. I will say training this year was a bit more challenging seeing as how we have a little more going on these days. It was great to have all my ladies there cheering me on. Maybe next year I can push the girls in the jogging stroller during the run!

race with our two biggest fans

Tyler has officially found her freedom through crawling. Elizabeth's days will never be the same. We were joking this afternoon that you could see Tyler smiling from behind as her smile was so big. She is cruising around and getting into everything. Harper studies her sister's moves and is probably not very far behind. Baby proofing the house is a necessity immediately. Everyone wish Elizabeth luck... she's going to need it!

And She's Off!

After 9 1/2 long months of waiting for the "move" to happen... Tyler is off! Officially a crawler now. She has to really want something to make the effort  to crawl across the room & mom's shiny necklace did just the trick today.

Tyler on the move

Miss Harper is taking notes on how to crawl!

Eye on the prize

Hooray!

Sweet sister takes the prize back to share.

I'm sure Harper will be moving next week & I will miss the days of having my babies stay put. But for now we are very happy for this new milestone! We will try to post some video footage soon.

Puppy Love!

The girls are very into dress up these days. The best part of dressing up is laughing at what sissy is wearing... it is like looking into a mirror!

Miss Tyler

Seriously, do I look this cute too?

The cutest pink poodles I have ever seen!

Tyler ~ 9 1/2 Months

Harper ~ 9 1/2 Months

I think Halloween may be the girls favorite holiday this year! They are mesmerized by older kids, so older kids in funny costumes... what could be better!?! (No, this is not their costume, you will have to wait until Halloween to find out!)

Tyler & Harper had their first "taste" of fall this weekend...
LEAVES

Instead of smiling for the camera, the girls were more interested in eating the leaves. Its going to be a long fall!

17 Pounds!

Harper, Tyler & Dad
Playing on the dinosaur at the park

The girls got a great report at their 9 Month check up. Both are 17 pounds, 27 inches long & growing strong (only 1.5 ounces separate them). The doctor also pointed out that Tyler's two bottom teeth are about to pop up... any day now.

Here are some pictures of Tyler & Harper :  8 1/2 Months - 9 Months

9 Months Old

The girls are 9 Months Old today! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. Our two little babies have grown into little girls with big personalities!

New at 9 Months ~ baby talk (lots of it!) Lots of da da da & ba ba ba talk. Standing up. The girls will hold onto anything and stand with a big proud smile. A few steps here and there. No crawling (lots of rolling & rocking and sometimes backward sliding). No teeth but that has not stopped them from wanting to eat everything in sight. They sit in their highchairs so excited about what new taste they will get to experience. New favorite foods: waffles, mac n' cheese, bananas, cooked carrots & avocado.

Little feet!

Big Eyes!
