Talented Twins

Tyler & Harper are alike in so many ways, but at the same time they are so different. The video footage will show you how unique our little girls are. Tyler walks, dances & doesn't stop moving while Harper talks, answers questions and even has learned the chorus to her sister's favorite dance tune. Of course we think they are the most talented and smartest 14 month olds we have ever met (ha ha) ... see for yourself!

Here is Tyler dancing to Beyonce.
We think she got her dance moves from her Daddy!

Harper is so curious!
She always is "reading" her books and picks up on just about everything. Our little sponge soaks it all up.
Bath time is a great time for asking her questions.

Toddler Time

Its official... we have two toddlers on our hands. Our girls have gone from little babies to toddlers and we still cannot get over how "grown up" they have become. They talk, walk, dance, laugh & have learned how to bat their eyes to get what they want. We are wrapped around their little fingers.

Here are some pictures of the "big girls" enjoying an afternoon cookie with their new hats on. As cute as their long hair is, we are going to see Aunt Jacquelyn this weekend for a trim- I think you will see why from the pictures.

All Aboard!

The girls had a fun weekend with Mom & Honey. Honey came to help while the White boys went down to Florida.. (you'll see why in just a minute.) With Valentines right around the corner we decided an Arts & Crafts project would be the perfect thing to pass an afternoon. Here are some pictures of our little Cupids!

Finger painting a Valentines heart

Tyler loved it & was all about it!

Miss Harper was not so sure about the paint.

(We have a "dance" video that you will get to see later this week!)

Good thing they were stripped to diapers for this project

Now onto what the guys were up to....
A new boat!

Tyler is checking out her new ride!

Harper told Dad she can't wait to learn how to ski behind this boat.
Maybe next summer!

In Motion

In Motion... that is the best way to describe the girls right now!
Here are some pictures from their gym this week.
Playing at the gym is a huge hit needless to say.

Trampoline Fun

Tyler checks herself out in the mirror
Is that me or sissy I am looking at?

This & That

Tyler & Harper are a bundle of fun these days. We think that they are actually starting to understand what we are saying and are trying so hard to talk. Harper can point to her ear when we ask her to and has taken up a big interest in pulling sissy's ears too when we say "ear." We are working on teaching them nose, eyes, & mouth. Also new is answering to what a duck says... "ka ka ka"- their version of quack, quack, quack!

Every afternoon after their nap this is where they sit like big girls

This is why we just joined the Gym for Toddlers (My Gym)
They love climbing and tumbling!

Harper shows off her new hairdo
Since they won't wear bows right now this is the style of the moment

Watching Sesame Street with Mommy after Church
You would never know from their innocent faces that just 2 hours before this was taken they were kicked out of the church nursery and banished to stroll the hallways with Ms Dot. We have a long way to go with the separation anxiety before we start pre-school in the fall.

Here are some more pictures of the girls at 13 months. A lot of repeats from previous posts... but enjoy!

Dad's first 24 hours straight

Kind of hard to believe right? The girls are ~ 13 months and this is the first time I have kept them by myself for 24 hours.  I had numerous volunteers willing to come by to help out, but I insisted on doing it myself to prove to Elizabeth I could.  Fortunately they were very well behaved.  So well behaved in fact I decided to go ahead and potty train them while mom was out of town.  Don't believe me?  The proof is below!

We really just got these potties in the mail today and could not resist posting these pictures.    How times have changed.  A few years ago when I had reward points at work I ordered grill tools and a watch, these days I am ordering Boon Potty Benches!

Back to the weekend.  We did have a great time - just dad and the girls.  We took a trip to the park and to REI, played with our toys, danced, ate, and missed mom!  I have said it before but I will say it again, hats off to my lovely bride as taking care of these two girls is a full time job (plus overtime) and she manages to do it 7 days a week.  Thanks for everything you do mom.

Park Playtime

We go to the park a few times a week to play and their eyes light up when they see where we are going. They are very curious and explore & play in the playground without hesitation to try the next thing. They have become quite the dare-devils. Favorite part of the park at 13 months... the slide! Here are some pictures of the girls playing at the park over the weekend.
