Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles

Tyler & Harper LOVE bubbles!
They laugh when they POP.
Try to CATCH them in their hands.
And will SQUEAL when bubbles surround them.

But as a surprise to all of us...
Doggy Pearce had the most fun with the bubbles!
Chasing & eating the bubbles.
So soon enough the girls were entertained by him...
and quickly lost interest in mom blowing bubbles!

Rainy Day Fun!

Being stuck inside all day with the rain.... mom had to get extra creative with how to keep the girls entertained! True "girly-girls" already! Tyler & Harper love all that glitters & shines.

What is 4 years?

Let's not forget the two that brought everyone this blog in the first place!  Elizabeth and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary last week.  Yes, this post is a little late, but it took my ladies being out of the house for me to find the time.  For those that know us, you know 4 years doesn't touch the years we have been together, but nonetheless a day to remember and a day to celebrate.  Thanks Honey for taking the girls for 2 nights & allowing us the opportunity and thanks Meb for the surprise at dinner.  Biggest thanks to the best wife, my best friend, and the best mom, my lovely bride Elizabeth.  The life I live... back up, the life "we" live is only possible because of all you do. Hang in their babe - dad will hang the swings one day!

Anniversary pres overdue.  In the words of Coldplay "Viva la Vida" or translated..."long live life"... Sorry Itunes still on.

Pics to follow shortly from our next trip to the beach.  This time just the parents (and some really good friends).

Cheers all.  Hug your loved ones when you see them.  Four years flies by.

24 Hours!?!

Over the weekend I had the first 24hours to myself in almost a year! The girls went to spend the night with Grandmother Honey & Dad went to a bachelor weekend.... so for 24 hours it was just mom & Pearce! (Pearce was so excited I think he thought we had given the babies away.) So, it was a day at the spa for me followed by some great takeout & movies on the couch. It was a nice break, but this house is definitely too quiet with my sweet family away.

Tyler & Harper are getting bigger by the day. Dad had not seen them in 3 days by the time he made it home yesterday and swore they had grown a pound & an inch! New this week- rocking on all fours. They will be off & crawling before we know it! And eating lots of grown up food- anything they can pick up and put in their mouths by themselves makes them very excited.

These pictures are from this morning... right after these were taken the girls were playing with a stuffed animal & were laughing hysterically taking it from one another. They love that there is another one of them around at all times and already have the most special bond!

A big thanks to Grandmother Honey for the much needed R &R!

Playtime with Ebby

Grandmother Ebby comes by to play at least a few times a week. Somehow she is always the one to make them giggle the most & they sure love all of her fun games to play.

Visit with Grumpa

Grumpa came to town yesterday to visit with the babies.
We all had lunch & played with the girls.
Above: Harper making faces with Grumpa!

"Cousin" Ryder also came to visit with Aunt Jacquelyn.
Tyler is the animal girl! Loves all animals...
...but her favorite is dogs.
(Especially nice ones since her own "brother" Pearce tends to ignore her!)

Swinging!

We decided to venture out to the park this weekend to see how the babies liked it.... well, they loved it! Swinging is the new favorite activity. The girls just giggled the whole time & their eyes lit up with excitement with each push.

Push us faster Daddy!

Low-Key Week

We have had a pretty low key week compared to our past few weeks this summer. I think the girls appreciated limited car trips & naps in their own cribs though. Tyler & Harper are so sweet with each other and always look to the other for a reaction or approval.

Favorite Things at 8 Months:
Playing footsie with each other in the stroller
Hearing animal noises
Peaches- fresh, pureed or freeze dried!
Pearce's "singing"
Rolling under the crib
Peek-a-Boo
Pirate's Booty- Cheddar
Sippy Cups with cold water
Yo Baby Apple Yogurt
Laughing
Warm washcloths at night
Playing outside
& Cheerios!

Tyler & Harper had another playdate with their twin friends,
Brooke & Hayden

8 Months Old!

Tyler & Harper are 8 Months old today. Wow, time has flown by. The girls are as active as ever and so close to crawling. They will roll across the room and can get up and wiggle forward, but no official crawling yet. Mom is not sure if she is ready to have her babies start moving in different directions quite yet!!!

30th Birthday!

Tyler & Harper threw their parents a 30th birthday party this weekend in the backyard. The girls made a brief cameo then went off to spend the night at Ebby & Big Poppy's house.

So, after the babies left... the party was kicked up a notch... We had such a great time hanging out with all of our friends and took full advantage of the girls spending the night out with no plans to return home until late afternoon.

This is what happens when we are off baby-duty for a full 24 hours!

These are all the pictures you blog readers are going to get to see from the night.... we had a blast & are so appreciative of the girls early bedtime so we can go ahead and get in bed ourselves.
