Vacation almost over?

It is hard to believe that I am on the home stretch of my two week vacation. I lost track of the time considering everything we were able to cram into the last 10+ days. The White family is now home, unpacked, but unfortunately still doing laundry. I think we are up to load #5 at this point. Grumpa would be proud.

Just wanted to say thanks to all our family for the hospitality the last 2 weeks. We had a great time seeing everyone and spending quality time without being rushed. We wish we had that opportunity more often. As promised, here is a video from the beach. There is a lot more footage, but considering most of you are at work reading this, I am doing my part for workplace productivity and managed to whittle it down to about 4 minutes.

In celebration of our youth, we are having a 30th birthday party this weekend. Judging by the energy displayed on this video by our two little ladies, mom and dad are going to need to hold onto that youth for many years at the beach to come. After this vacation I must admit I am jealous of all the time Elizabeth gets to spend with the girls. They are turning into little ladies with big personalities. If you miss a day you miss a lot around here. I am thankful for all the time I have gotten to spend with all my ladies. When Monday rolls around I will still get to see them everyday, but it won't quite be the same. I am already looking forward to next year.

Dad loves you.

Here is an album from the beach.  I am working on a video and another album which should be up shortly.  We had a great time obviously.  The girls are starting to get used to this lifestyle.

Mom's Little Helpers!

Mom's Little Helpers... well, not really! Since we do so many loads of laundry around here a week I decided Tyler & Harper can participate in laundry duty (since half of it belongs to them anyway). Any new adventure makes the girls very excited & this was no different.

In the laundry room making sure mom separates the whites & darks!

"Wait, we have to fold the laundry after it comes out of the dryer?"

We love the warm clothes out of the dryer!

The girls are at the point where after 15 minutes or so we have to move onto the next activity. They are non-stop wanting to see & experience more every day. So curious & starting to get into everything! Now we are off to our next adventure.... back to the beach again for a week! Can't wait to get our tootsies in the sand & see Honey & Pop.  We will post some pictures from Figure 8 in a few days.

Good Buddies!

Here are a few pictures from our playgroup today. This is our usual group that the girls get together with about every other week! Now that everyone is sitting up now ~ pictures are  a little easier to take.

When did that happen?

I guess the last few days are full of firsts. But while the haircut was planned, this one caught me by surprise. I came home from work the other day to the sight below. Both my little girls smiling and looking up at me. But something was different.... they were sitting up!

Yeah sure I have seen them sit up by themselves before, but they tend to quickly topple over without some assistance. Not this time. It just happened. I left to go to work, came home, and now the girls can sit up all by themselves. Little things like this make me never want to leave their side. Unfortunately, they have their mom's penchant for clothes so someone has to put in the hours. Fortunately, I have two weeks of vacation starting next week, hopefully dad will be around to catch a "first" when it happens. I am still holding out for their first word...."Dada?"

Tyler's First Haircut

Tyler got her first haircut today! We decided the "toupee" on the top of her head had to go so we went to the expert... Aunt Jacquelyn.

Pre- Haircut
"Please get this toupee off of my head!"

The comb over
"I am so ready!"

"What have I gotten myself into?"

"Oh no. Does my aunt really know what she is doing?"

Trimming the toupee
"My mom thinks it looks cute. I'm not sure yet!"

Final Product
"I love it. Thanks Aunt Jac."
Miss Harper escaped the shears this time around...
"I am holding onto all of my hair... for now!"

2 Babies & A Wagon!

Tyler & Harper are in love with their Radio Flyer wagon. The girls were given this as a gift before they were born by their "aunts" Meredith, Madeleine & Ramsey... and what a hit it is! They have spent a lot of the day today in the backyard being pushed around in the wagon. Before we know it they will be pushing each other!

Pearce ends the playtime with a serenade...

Happy 4th of July!

The babes celebrated their first 4th of July at Figure 8 Island. We started the day with a parade around the island followed by a cookout for lunch on the beach and then onto a party at the Yacht Club, but the girls were fast asleep before any fireworks went off!

Unfortunately Dad could not join in on the festivities because he was stuck in bed with food poisoning. No fun. Nonetheless, we all had a great time celebrating & the girls loved all of the red, white & blue sights.

Family Vacation

The girls are LOVING the beach! In between the beach, the pool, the attention... they cannot get enough. The babies are in bed so we decided now would be a good time to post a few pictures while we sit outside with our cocktail watching the sunset... beautiful!
