The Fish!

Tyler & Harper are like little fish! They get super excited anytime they see water. Good thing it is summer because when we are not at the pool they are running through the sprinkler in the back yard. Some kids we see at the pool are a little timid of the water but not our girls... they run right in! We think swim lessons are going to be a hit.

Beach Music Babes

We hit up a cookout at CCC this week where they had a beach music band. We had no idea how much the girls would love the music. When they weren't putting on a show dancing for everyone they were tapping their feet or clapping their hands to the beat!

18 Months Old!

These sweet things turn 18 Months old in the morning... can you believe it?!? We sure can't. We had their 18 Month check up today and the girls got a check plus from the doctor. Tyler & Harper had a big growth spurt and are up to 31 inches tall (25th percentile up from 10th at 1 year) and Tyler weighs 20.6 lbs (5th percentile) and Harper weighs 19.8 lbs (3rd percentile). They are healthy, happy & little!

Tyler & Harper at 18 months is so much fun! They have turned into little people. The chit chat has actually started to take some meaning and they can tell us what they want, know people's names & love to repeat words we say. They have become mom's helpers and like to help "clean up" and imitate mom by carrying a pocket book while pushing their baby in the stroller. They grab the keys & say bye bye and go to put their shoes on when they are ready to go outside & play. My personal favorite is when the girls tuck their dolls into bed and say "Nigh Nigh Baby Shhh!" A year &  a half old, wow!

Lazy Days

Over the weekend Grumpa & Libby came to visit the girls! We took advantage of the visitors in town to entertain Tyler & Harper and enjoyed a lazy day at home followed by a lazy evening at Aunt Jacquelyn "Nanny" and Uncle Buck's house.

Strawberry Pickin'

Tyler & Harper had their first trip strawberry pickin' this week & what a fun time it was! It was really muddy but that seemed to make the experience even more fun for the girls.

Warm Welcome

When I tell the girls Ebby is coming over to see them, 

this is what they do....

Run to the front door & on their tippy toes 

they look patiently out the windows until they see her coming!

Then laughter erupts & big smiles when she arrives.

We had such a great mini vacation. 4 days away from the girls was the longest we have been apart but Tyler & Harper did just fine and had a great time with Ebby, Big Poppy, Aunt Jacquelyn & Uncle Buck. And their parents loved having some time to sit on the beach with friends!

The girls had a playdate with sweet Jane, went to feed the ducks, ate out for lunch and dinner a bunch, hit up the grocery store for goodies and played inside some because of all the rain. 

We are glad to be home now & spending time with our little girls again. We sure did miss them!

The parents are off for a 4 day getaway... sans kiddos!
