Cookies & Milk Party

The girls (and now Court this year) hosted their 3rd Annual Cookies & Milk party with Santa. They have an inside connection to the North Pole so Santa was easily secured and they had no idea it was actually Poppy's lap they were sitting on. A guest list of 100 with half of the guests being under 3 feet tall made for a pretty packed house, but we would not have it any other way. The girls were a huge help this year helping to make cookies (12 dozen we made together!) and Court was an angel just watching so Mommy actually had time to pull this together. It was a blast & we can't wait to continue this tradition through the years.

Deck the Halls!

We have been getting in the Christmas spirit over here! Decking the halls, baking and learning new Christmas carols. Girls are all about "cwissmiss time" this year.

And, bliss.... their first nap in over 6 months...

3 Year Stats!

We had the girls 3 Year Check up today.

Two very healthy & happy big girls!

We had a bit of a growth spurt, still tiny but growing.

And for the first time they were EXACTLY

the same height and weight.

26 pounds & 36 inches tall (4 inches up from last year!)

10th percentile for weight and 25th for height

A BIG jump from the zero percentile they were in for both last year.

They were pretty cute in the check up. When they had their eyes checked the nurse held up pictures to see what they could see. For the Barn picture they both called it "Farmer & the Dell" and then for the cake picture they both said "Happy Birthday to me"

We can't wait to see what this years holds for these two sweet little girls! Check out how much they have grown from last year.

Ho Ho Ho!

Tis' the Season for Santa... he is everywhere these days. Girls are loving Santa these days (shocking since this was their reaction last year and this the year before.) But Court, not so much. He smiles for a minute when he first sits down then he turns into a hysterically crying terrified little boy. Its pretty sad but also a little funny.

We had the girls 3rd birthday party this weekend. It was outside & freezing (flurries before the party started & a hail storm an hour after it was over... we got pretty lucky!) but the kids did not seem to mind. Train rides were a hit and the girls loved having all of their friends come celebrate with them. Its pretty great to be 3!

Happy Birthday Girls!

Dearest Tyler & Harper,

Today you turned 3 years old! Wow, where did the time go? We cannot even remember how life was without you two. You brighten each & every day and are the most beautiful girls we have ever seen. We fell in love with you both at first sight and still seem to fall more and more in love with you each day.

At 3 years old…

You are inseparable. You have never spent more than a few hours apart.

You dress the same almost every day. Mommy tries to dress you different sometimes but that normally ends with one of you wanting to change to match.

Your favorite things to do are to play dress up, go “pretend” shopping and throw parties for your beloved Coco (Harper) and Doggie (Tyler).

Tyler has a natural part to the right and is right-handed and Harper is just the opposite with a left part and left-handed! We think Tyler became a right-handed girl when she broke her left arm. Weird fact: Most identical twins are left-handed.

You say the funniest things. You have made up your own language and totally understand each other when nobody else does. You both have the best laughs!

Towards the end of your 2’s mischief became a regular thing… Tyler can convince Harper to do just about anything.

Harper calls Tyler “Ty Ty”. We think that nickname is going to stick.

You sleep in separate big girl beds but we often find you all cuddled up in the same bed in the mornings.

You love to sing songs. Favorites are Jesus Loves Me, 5 Little Ducks, Frosty the Snowman (year-round!) and every time you see a star shape you both start singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Harper’s favorite color is pink and Tyler’s is green.

You take a bath together with your brother every night. You both love him 95% of the time and are great big sisters!

Harper you do not stop talking from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed. That is a solid 12 hours of non-stop chit chat. Tyler wakes up every morning to “Ty Ty, you awake?”

You are both brave, strong, smart girls.

You still call yourselves “tiny girls”

We love you our sweet THREE year old tiny girls. We can’t wait to see what fun this year brings.

Tyler & Harper will be 3 years old in the morning! No, we cannot believe it. They are growing up so fast and turning into little ladies that are full of personality & energy. They make us laugh every day and are completely inseparable and love one another to pieces. Today we celebrated at pre-school with all of their buddies and teachers.

Its that time of year again... the girls are loving the new tradition that was started last year of having their very own Christmas Tree in their room. Last year they could barely get the ornaments on, this year they are old pros!

Court is On the Move... at a snails pace, but moving forward nonetheless! For weeks he has been rolling across the room or scooting backwards but in the past few days he has begun inching forward going further & further each day. For him to move it has to be something he really wants. Christmas shiny & sparkly things seem to be doing just the trick. He is so proud of himself when he gets there then lays down like it has been a big workout. Super laid back little guy we have on our hands. Hoping we can make it until after the tree is down before he learns how to pick up speed!
