Fish out of Water!

Its official.... Court is part Fish!
This little boy swam his heart out kicking his legs and spent most afternoons jumping off the side of the pool into Daddy's arms. These photos were taken early in the trip, but by the end of the week Court would fly off the side jumping as far as he could with no fear. This kid LOVES the water!!!

Ready.

Jump!

Our little fish!

And I wish I had a video of the girls swimming because they went from basic swim skills at the end of last summer to full on going under and swimming a few feet by themselves on this trip. After a day to build up confidence they gave it a try and never looked back. They would swim across the pool and then would beam with pride and say "I did great!"

Easter

For Spring Break we hit the road to St. Petersburg, Florida for some fun in the sun with Honey, Pop, Aunt Kristin & Uncle Nick. With Dad's intense work schedule we knew we needed to be flexible with when we left and when we returned so we planned on driving. Let's just say that may be our last 10+ hour road trip with the kids. They all actually did great in the car thanks to lots of new movies, tons of snacks and the excitement of Disney BUT it was a long drive! We pulled in about 1am on night one and began a fun week of swimming, egg hunts, beach time, zoo fun and of course Disney World.

Hippity HOP!

This is probably one of the kids top 10 days of the year... the annual CCC Easter egg hunt. A fun afternoon filled with an endless supply of sweet treats! The girls are PROS by now and Court was ready for some egg huntin' action. He was very serious about grasping his basket & keeping his eye on the prize. Banks was old enough to get in on the fun this year and I think everyone went to bed dreaming of the Easter Bunny!

Grumpa & Lib's house

We hopped on down the trail to Grumpa & Libby's house for a visit. Our trip was just at 24 hours and we sure packed a lot in...
I snapped this photo so I can remember that we will not be doing this sleeping arrangement again anytime soon... Court is not old enough to have the freedoms a sleeping bag offers. He was the last one standing at 9pm with his sissies out cold. A few late night tears and he finally fell asleep then rolled around the room all night. One tired Mama the next day...

Libby on 8am morning activity duty.
Watercolor painting for the girls and bubbles for Court.

So determined.

Whoa... I blew a bubble. He was so proud.

Off to the park with Grumpa pulling double swing duty.

Big Boy doing it all by himself!

Thanks for having us!!!

Honey's Bunnies

Trying to get 3 kids looking at the camera & smiling is pretty hard. Add to that having clean faces or no major spills or smears on their clothes, well lets just consider that impossible. I still try...

But most of our photos look a bit like this most days.
Guess this is LIFE!

A quick squeeze with Honey before we hopped down the trail to Grumpa & Libby's for a quick visit.

S'more Love!

Over the weekend we tested out the new fire pit in Honey & Pop's backyard with some roasted marshmallows. It was a lot of fun and the kids obviously loved their first experience of making s'mores. We waited until dark which meant that these 3 were up WAY past bedtime and they thought it was pretty special to be up until 8:30! The sugar high lasted until about 10pm... (I think our next s'mores experience will be during daylight hours.) Needless to say it was a perfect way to end a beautiful spring night.

Making S'mores!

Court was SO into it!
He had to put the marshmallow on himself and patiently waited for it to roast.

Tyler, the pro!

Serious campfire talk between these two...

terrible TWO's

Yep, its official... our angel child has officially hit the dreaded terrible 2's. I don't even remember the girls at 2 being like this (probably a little distracted with a newborn at home) but I certainly remember the girls terrible 3's (which no one tells you about)! After blaming it on ear infections or new teeth I have come to realize that it is just the terrible 2's.

Here are some phone pictures over the past few weeks to document the lovely behavior of our once sweet Court...

Thanks for the hershey kiss mom... I decided to smear it all over my face then take off my shoes and make sure it was covering each toe.

Time Out.
Court pouts and puts his head down. His tantrums are generally quiet thank goodness but I see quite a lot of the top of his head these days.

Hmmm, let me eat this chalk mom just told me not to put in my mouth then spit it out and paint with it...

Unattended for a brief 2 minutes while getting the girls ready for school... climbed up on a chair, found a marker, created a masterpiece and then Mom made him pose in front of his creation. He felt pretty bad about this one. Glad we are in our rental house for most of the terrible 2's!

Can you tell what he did here?
Pretty sure this was done on purpose because mom was about to put Court in a cute smocked bunny outfit... Court has certainly not done this since he was 2 weeks old.

Terrible 2's go away and bring back our sweet boy!!!
